Val's has always been a great spot for a burger. Wanted to leave a review to inform folks that there is currently no dine in. See attached photo.
I have not been to Vals since before the pandemic, and the burgers were as good as I remember however, the prices were a little ridiculous. We called the order in and then drove to Vals and sat outside at the tables to eat them.
We ordered two mama burgers because baby burgers were not available and it turned out to be a little too much for us. They were a little too big. The burgers were juicy and delicious just as I remembered. We got one order of fries, a milkshake and a root beer. Our total was $53. We were shocked, I believe however that we received two orders of fries because the bag was huge. They did not bring us a receipt so we could not check to see why it was so expensive. I gave it a low number because we weren't able to check to see how much our order should've been and because of the limited menu. Unless they open their doors again, I will not go back. Unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience.
This place is exactly why we need to support our local businesses! The food, the service, the people... it's unmatched compared to chains in the area/in general. It is currently only take out, but you are able to sit down in the back and the hospitality of the people who work here is well worth it. Will be coming back and recommending to as many people I can as well as here on Yelp! If you're ever in the area, you won't regret it. Support Val's!
The food was perfect. I always will recommend them. We all know the hours are limited but you'll never be disappointed. Bring cash and and an appetite.
